Can you program? 1)Write a study that shows the spread, volatility, volume, etc. 2) look at the thing...

In general, US index futures hardly move outside Chicago hours.

But there are cases whether US index futures move decisively and significantly outside Chicago hours.
These are the past cases :
    - North Korea lauching missiles during Asian time
    - US companies announcing their earnings outside Chicago hours
    .....

So just need to understand what is happening then trade accordingly

How has your performance been? Assuming it's been good, you just need to assume some losses are part of the game, and keep swinging the bat.

My performance is like i make 1 trade per week or so ( goal is to make 10 roundtrips/day); I sit in front of pc all day & no action of any kind... I watch my setup's move in my anticipated direction......but will never pull the trigger. Probably I will establish a set amount as loss every time I trade; so that my subconscious already aware/knows my loss amount......which might help me pull the trigger.
    thanks again

    Wrong...
On average the day session has wider ranges, not by a wide margin and not all the time. The volume & ranges in the ETH have been picking up over the years. There are many times when the after hours ranges are wider and where big reversals or continations overnight with wide range drives the day session. . The night session at 2a EST is the strongest hour of this year and 2016. Over the last 6 years the after hours session has tacked on far more gains than the day session- many big players have been taking advantage of this, some bypass the day session all together.
