Thai landlord won't return your two month deposit paid to them in advance, if you don't complete your agreed or mentioned verbally contracts
If you put down two months rent than than after a month you pay rent again, so you are always prepaid one month, than when you don't pay rent you have untill the end of the month and when you move out you don't lose anything. many of my friends jump around from place to place very often, because it is quite common for you to pay two months rent and the next day they start building a new house right outside your window and they start running drills and hammering at 5 am, 7 days a week.
i would advise against - there is a strong mafia presence and they will catch wind of you - go offshore in barbados or similar.
yeah if you are into flashing money they will catch wind of you and want to get their hands on some of it.... I personally lived in the caribbean already and couldn't stand it.
Interesting. i am in bkk right now, just got a condo in sukumvit soi 15. i willl be here for a while, was actually looking to open a small office so me and couple buddies can trade. is there alot of traders here in bkk? is it possible to meet up one day? nana_trader, i really enjoyed all your posts on bangkok. was very informative. if there are other traders here in bangkok, would it be possible to setup a "trader" meeting? have a few beers etc... let me know if this interests anyone. we are late twenties/early thirties, been trading the u.s. markets for many years now.
Thanks and after looking at this place and the price, Im going to be staying there. A very imformative thread.
I'll be in South East Asia starting on the 25th of February for about a month. Wondering if there's any traders in Bangkok, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur or Singapore? I can't get away from trading even when on vacation. So Sad.
