  1. preview for Week of 11/19, wk8 of Q4.
US markets closed Thursday for Thanksgiving, close early on Friday.

4th week of option expiry for November, Fri 23th, week after monthly expiry.

My outlook for the market is for upside movement, have a SPY target of 279.
Options pricing +/-$4.30 possible move, last Fri close was $273.73.
Option volume and open interest as of now looks to keep SPY under 280 and over 277,
    should be an interesting week.
Lot of commentary and chatter calling for a down week, think we see the opposite.

Monday will be watching 23/Nov SPY calls for a long side trade.

With SPY trades on a weekly basis, I use SPY weekly options or a leveraged ETF,
main etfs i use for SPY trades are SPXL, TQQQ for bull and SPXS, SQQQ for bear,
the QQQ usually have more juice.
I use these etfs because they usually have good option activity for good trade entry and exit. Also they they can provide additional info for trade selection/management.
I look to get in the trade Monday, and get out Tuesday, Thursday at the latest.
The ETFs are NOT for any long term hold due to potential accelerated decay.

  8. In 2018 I traded weekly SPY trades.
Here is a summary review, and plan going forward.

Over the weekend do a preview for week ahead using T/A and option market tells.
Set a target price for SPY, up or down for the week.
Look for SPY weekly options, puts or calls, just OTM, about a $1.00 premium if possible.
Enter trade on Monday if SPY target price looks like it will work.
For options, trade size of up to $500, profit target of 50%, and loss target of 50%
Exit on Tuesday, or Thursday at the latest.

    Using levered etfs,
main etfs i use for SPY trades are SPXL, TQQQ for bull and SPXS, SQQQ for bear,
the QQQ usually have more juice.
All these usually have good option activity for good trade entry and exit.
Also they they can provide additional info for trade selection/management.

ETF trades can be $4000 t0 $7000 if use 100 shrs, profit and loss targets of about 5%.

Tried using SPY option strangles, results were ok, but feel it just complicates the trade,
so I just trade the side i have the most confidence in.

  10. For the SPY weekly trade, preview for Week of 1/14/2019, wk3 of Q1, 2019

third week of option expiry for January, Fri 18th, monthly expiry, and Jan expiry which has a lot going on from what were the original LEAPs now expiring.

Earnings starting, with banks kicking things off. plus all the ongoing drama that we know too well.

outlook is for downside movement, SPY target of 257.
    pin # is 257.
Options pricing +/-$4.40 possible move, last Fri close was $258.98.
Option volume and open interest as of now looks to keep SPY over 255 and under 260,

Monday will be watching 18/Jan SPY puts for a down side trade.
Not expecting much movement, so getting a decent trade might be tough, but i will watch the 257 put.

Again the base line goal is in Mon, out Tue, $500 trade size, 50% win or loss targets.
