Trading In Brazil

  1. For those who trade from Brazil, what tax rates do you pay on trading income (futures or forex)? Is the tax rate the same for a small corporate structure compared to trading income as an individual? Thank you for feedback.

  2. No Brazil traders on ET? Hmmmm? Thought I could find a few around this joint.

  3. Daal

    Daal

15% for domestic capital gains. Foreign capital gains its the same rate but you are not allowed to deduct losses(Makes it impossible to trade profitably)

Hi there, there are traders from Brazil on ET however it seems like no one can help you with your request. I think it depends on whether you are a foreign or not or a corporation. IF you are a brazilian resident, you'll be paying 27.5% tax on your overseas investment gains regardless of the instrument traded (futures, forex, equities).
