The reason we discourage "Off hours" trading is simply that we make the assumption that we know "less" about what may be going on than those who choose to dive into specific 'newsies" ...and it's a much smaller "poker game." Actually, trading before / after hours is not very different from placing an envelope around a stock at the open. If you are willing to buy on the open for 32.10 and sell at 32.80, why wouldn't you be willing to accept those respective prices before the open?
