Trading in a Different Country

  1. You should also consider Costa Rica... the cost of internet is quite low there since the Gov subsidised ISP installed excesive fiberwire capacity to handle the demand during the next 20 years or something of that sort... you can get several Mbps for only a few hundreth bucks per month... [and I heard they want to build a fiber link to compete with Panama's]

ohh and the condos start at $100k.

  2. Really, that's funny, because ppl I have spoken to say that Panama is the Costa Rica before gringos overan the Costa Rica. That CR is actually about 20-30% more $$ than Panama. CR is a nice place though from everyone I have talked to and what I have read and heard. Either would be nice as they are 1 hour ahead of me now, so I can get more done before starting the trading session.

That's why I was asking if he was just making that up...what an idiot. Maltese is a mutant sounding language...but almost everyone speaks English due to it being an English territory until the 60s or so.

Very nice place...I spent a month or so there, thought about living there. In the end it's a tiny island, as beautiful as it is, it's a small island.

The real downfall for me was lack of discount flights to the rest of Europe...couldn't get a plane ticket for less than $400 roundtrip or so if I remember correctly whereas anywhere else in Europe is less than $200 to almost any other location in Europe.

Compared to Panama...Costa Rica blows. It's like selling people a used Dodge while there is a newer Lexus around the corner for sale cheaper and with more features.

Costa Rica lacks just about every thing that makes most Latin American wonderful. Culture, food, people, prices, etc. Costa Rica is so overhyped it's ridiculous.

Panama is much more liveable. Even the beaches in Panama are 10X nicer than in Costa Rica.

  7. Hi there,

I'm also looking at the Belize tax haven. Did you find out any more information about them? I very interested in the IBC and FOREX traded funds which they are promoting.

    Cheers,

    Nat
