Trading Hang Seng or FTSE futures

Discussion in 'Trading' started by jedwards, Aug 2, 2009.

  1. I currently have an IB account and I trade ES futures. But if I want to trade Hang Seng or FTSE futures, what account features do I need?

I got the SIMEX and EUREX futures data feed from my data feed (Iqfeed) but I'm not sure if I need to register for any type of additional account features from IB. Can I buy these futures with US dollars, or do I need to open up a trading account funded with those local currencies?

As well, does anyone know about tax implications of trading foreign futures? Do I treat it like regular trading or do I need to file different kinds of taxes for these?

Thanks in advance for any help!
