The waiting for the candle/hammer to form. The question is, who are the traders who form these candle/hammers The ones who trade the hammers after they have been drawn, must be late Happy New Year
One absolutely waits for the "hammer line" to be drawn (completed), and then some, depending on the formation being seeked.
jdollar You not getting it, the one who waits is late. Lets say you are looking at a 10 min bar. the question to you, who are the players who form the hammer. if one waits for the hammer to draw you are late. and the question is who are the players who was trading the hammer when it was drawing? would you calls these Pros are fools?
There is on the contrary never any rush as you suggest. Some of us may focus on the bigger picture and thus look to see the reaction to the hammer rather than the hammer itself being the edge. There are many different ways to trade successfully.
concer i'm just making a point. You wont see the hammer on a 30 min chart but will on a 15 chart, but on a 2 min chart it look like a pull back.I would say keep it simple and dont look more than 2 time frames
