This is from a Private Message. Not posting who from etc, but the general sentiment I'm sure is shared by others, so I figured I might as well go over it.

I assume you are using the sponsorship and the message board as a means of promoting your services. Let me ask you something: Why should anyone subscribe if you are here admitting that you are not following your own rules?

Making mistakes is never something that will make you popular. Especially if those mistakes could have been (should have been) avoided. This is especially true when dealing with money. In this reply I don't want to sound like I am making an excuse, because there really isn't a good one for doing it in the markets eyes and the market is the judge. No matter how you rationalize it, breaking the rules is breaking the rules.

I think the fact is that I am human, and because of that I will not behave like a robot. That means that on occasion im going to mess things up. For the most part though I don't, and I think that fact that most of our members are long term members speaks to that fact (long term meaning having been with us more then 1 year). If you work with a human being, there will be mistakes, even avoidable ones from time to time. This is just a part of it. I don't think this is any different from any other person who runs a chatroom or even a hedge fund. The only difference is that when I make one I tell everyone about it and say, well I screwed this up this way or that. It doesn't always make me popular - but it's a bit of honesty I think you would find with few other people in my position. If you are not interested in the chatroom that is fine, it probably would not help you then. If you are though and you came in I think you would learn a lot from us that would help you become profitable or more profitable.

POWI is forming a pretty nice base at the highs here. Has been in its own little world and is basing well. Look for trades above 22.02 as a buy scalp.

4. vladiator and CalTrader,

Thanks for your posts. I find it refreshing to see academics applying their analytical tools and learnings to this environment.

And, vladiator, I will try and remember to scan the academic journals for your article over the next few months.

Regards,

good re the COST... I had our folks learn from my "long GILD 32.85+" call, said to exit at 33.39 using time/sales for the trailing stop ... agree re breakouts and gaps are best ... esp on volume

In the current market, these 3/8 to 1/2 point clips are fine for 20 minute roundtrip type daytrades, but I miss the high-volatility market days w/ 4-6 point runs in 'net stocks... anyone else?

9. That was the meat and potatoes for awhile Ken. BRCM, CIEN, VRTS. Oooops... there goes another 4 point winner.

Then the hallucinogenics wore off and somehow that crazy wacky word "value" started showing up in the same breath as "earnings" instead of "perceived" and those silly crazy prices just deflated.

At least you had some decent waves to ride.

What do you think about trading GAPs with special filtration of stocks for fix time frame? For example - entry at 10:00 and out at 16:00?
Get well!
