You'll need to get a business line as opposed to a residential line. The residential lines have very little bandwidth, even if they are high speed. Just talk to TOT about a business line. Initially they will tell you no, but go into the office and talk to a supervisor. Explain to them you're a foreigner, you work through the internet and bring money into the country. The magic red tape will be cut, and you'll get saddled up. Cost more, but very much worth it. It's all about bandwidth, ignore the speed here.
thanks for the helpful replies. I'm only going to be there a week so I won't be getting my own line. I guess my query was more about whether the hotels wifi or cafes internet was good enough to trade from. regards
