Can anyone comment (or direct me to posts) about trading from across the Atlantic?

In particular, when overseas, how is the speed of order execution slowed when trading US markets through a NYC based firm? [assuming a highspeed (dsl/cable) connection]

How common are system stalls relative to when domestically based?

Any input would be appreciated. FYI: I'm not a scalper, quite, but I need reliable and very speedy order ex.

    Thanks.

  2. Pretty fast over here (Belgium)
Having traded both in US and in europe, I have never found being in europe a disadvantage as far as execution speed is concerned.
Cable internet speed is 20mb/ sec here, by the way.
