Fact of the matter is unless you are going to be out of mobile phone and thus 3G broadband range spending vast amounts for a VSAT or Fleet Broadband set up is pointless. At the moment I have a Fleet 77 system installed on my boat and it has been the biggest waste of money. Most recreational sailors will spend 90% of the time within mobile range. Also living on a boat is crap...I know as I lived on mine for 7 years. Doesnt matter how big your boat is ...its always 10ft too small.
the reason I asked is because when you live onboard (no matter what size the yacht) your values and priorities will change over time. Either your yacht is a weekend toy in which case just enjoy it, or if it becomes your home, you will change.
The OP is posting from a Verizon line, so he is either full of shit, or is plugged in to a land line at the dock.
how sad for you i'm trading from my own private 747 with an all female crew I think I see you down there with my binoculars - just a reminder, dont wear white after labor day
That is my next aspiration: trading anywhere around the World. Would you mind to answer a question I always have in my mind? How do you protect yourself against any unsavory characters, say pirates, or any rogues on international water?
You guys still own me rent. I trade from a nice little house on my own planet in my own solar system and YOU AND 9 BILLION OTHERS TRESPAS ON MY PROPERTY
