As an earlier poster mentioned, when one trades in the same place as you eat, sleep and watch TV, there is no change in environment. Where is the balance? An office environment where traders are working, sharing, and have similar goals and objectives, would be more conducive to trading. I have traded in isolation for years. Initially it was OK, but the lack of interaction has gotten to me, causing me to consider other careers, even though trading is still a source of income. I believe it depends alot on your personality and your needs.
