the reason for the trade was not the trendlines ....trend lines were to assist in the entry and for confirmation... the reason for the trade was the market structure
Brooks said the correct thing.....draw the trendlines and then remove them....focus on the bars he also said things like 'all break outs fail' and they do....but it can confuse the hell out of a newbie !! because many go for 200 ticks before failing. i just quote him but there is a context for which it is true and not in others. it take a long time to figure out which context. that is why i am not like others i trade context NOT set ups
But my method is not Brook's: his book is filled with set ups. and risk management. i treat both with disdain. he has shown me a road but when i went on it, i did not like the scenery.. so i went off it into the wild....i am the wild one. i am not a trader i am a killer
Padu; AUDUSD is new, at least for you as "EuroKing" Are there more pairs that you watch and do you feel there's a difference? Or could you trade any pair using the same principles?
i only trade eurusd audusd usdjpy....right now....since i am still learning and may add afew majors as time goes on and i get more accomplished as a trader. most times i think i can make a lot of money in one pair and that would be eurusd
the pairs should be principled as well i tried bitcoin because it could be traded on weekends but it had crazy stop running spikes which i cannot risk with my kamakazi style . eur is good like ES..... BROOKS SAID INCREASE YOUR LOT SIZE .....RATHER THAN TARGET PIPS....that makes sense to me
i have become better in filtering out the more risky trades sticking to with trend entries since there is no range
