To all on this esteemed board:

I can’t leave my day job yet but need to get immersed in trading. Have been thinking about the possibility of trading foreign markets 10:00 pm - 1:00 am CST or 3:00 am - 6:00 am CST (located in suburban Chicago area) using IB. Swing trading is out-must end my trading session flat.

Do any foreign markets that you are aware of lend themselves to this strategy?

Thanks, in advance, for your insight and advice.

Do you know ASX (Australian Stock Exchange)? Time zone difference is 15 hours, in Australian Daylight Time.

ASX starts 10:00am and finishes 04:00pm. In Chicago, it will be between 07:00pm and 01:00am.

I'm also thinking trade there, too. But it's difficult do find trading softwares.

  3. Take a look at Eurex products available on IB. You could catch part of the session.

You can try Hang Seng Futures.

Trading Hrs are 9:46am to 12:30 pm & 2:30pm to 4:15pm Hong Kong time.

You can also consider Nikkei but i think IB doesn't have the contract

On the subject of bonds, is there a worldwide afterhours market for bonds, cash and futures, after trading closes in the pits at the CBOT?
