    Hey,

I've followed these boards for a while but this is my first time to post. I'm finishing up my degree, and have a couple interviews at various trading firms.

However, so far, 2 of 'em want me to schedule a time to come take a "numerical" test, or some such.

Was hoping someone would have an idea what sorta stuff this'd cover exactly.

    arithmetic? sat style questions? calculus?

  2. interviewed at one firm (options)...had to answer a ton of fraction questions within 10 minutes. another firm (futures) asked me to answer large multiplication questions without a calculator. yet another asked logic questions.

these questions are fine and dandy if you want to be a market "mechanic" and lube the cogs of someone else's trading machine. but ppl that can successfully answer these questions are a dime a dozen. landing one of these jobs based on your ability to answer these questions can get you six-figures; imagination, leadership and marketing skills can get you many more zeros (and you probably don't even need to be that good at math, to boot). better to have someone crunch the numbers for you.

  3. Where do I find those interviews?
