Trading ES, reverse trade based stops

It's obvious that due to current strategy a lot of points were lost expecting a bigger oscillation to take place and one could argue that a trailing system has to be considered.

 

I'm not sure we can argue with the results. 75 ES points in 4 weeks is very good. With I think a max draw down so far of 32 points.

 

I will be going over historical charts later to establish whether trailing and waiting for a new signal would have been a lot more beneficial.

 

In any testing I've done, trailing stops end up being a "scratch" over the long run.

Stunning sell off started in the overnight in Asia ... exactly the type of thing the system is supposed to catch. Surprise moves nobody sees coming.
