  1. ===========================================
    On the MOO trade:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    (this I did 17-10.)

    Long 200MOO @ 7,37
    Short 2 C Apr 2004 8,00 @ 1,20
    Short 2 P Apr 2004 8,00 @ 1,80

    stops:

    Short 400MOO when it plummets down to 6,41
    Close out the strangle when premium worth is (1/3 * 2,37 =) 79cts
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Current status:

    MOO @ 6.96
    C Apr 2004 8.00 @ 0.50
    P Apr 2004 8.00 @ 1.60

    premium worth = 2.10 - 1.04 = 1.06, we are nearing elimination zone :)

    paper P&L on this one is currently: 49ct/share
    ===========================================

    ===========================================
    On the AEL options calender straddles:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    (this I did 20-10)

    Long 4 AEL Put Jul 2004 34,00 @ 3,40
    Long 4 AEL Call Jul 2004 34,00 @ 2,30
    Short 4 AEL Put Dec 2003 34,00 @ 1,80
    Short 4 AEL Call Dec 2003 34,00 @ 0,90

    stops:

    Cover the short options when premium level has dropped to 1/3 of the original action.

    Total premium = 1,50 so I will close out the position when the premium money is down to 0,50
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Current status:

    AEL C Dec 2003 34.00 @ 0.80
    AEL P Dec 2003 34.00 @ 1.15
    AEL C Jul 2004 34.00 @ 2.15
    AEL P Jul 2004 34.00 @ 2.95

    Underlying at: 33.59

    **UPDATE**
    the stops on this one are changed to expiration of the shorter month options, in this case, the dec. 03 ones
    **UPDATE**

    Well what do you know, premium on the december options almost did not change, and the premium at the july options actually grew. This position is in a 15ct profit (which equals almost nothing after commish.)
    ============================================

    As said before, daytrading dutch stock made me more unhappy then happy, and these 2 (although I wasnt too sure about the index straddles to start with, as you can see at the top of the journal) puppies are riding along just fine and make me sleep easy :)

    Bad luck for the guys who like journals is that I dont mutate an awful lot in my positions, and this journal stays bo-ring. Maybe I get a nice money injection in the account this month, which will deliver the reader some action ;))

  2. MOO kept tanking so today I made some trades:

    Sold 400MOO @ 6.37 (my position is now -200)
    Closed Apr04 8.00 calls MOO for 0.40

    Position is now:

    Short 200MOO
    Short Apr04 8.00 puts

    with MOO @ 6.30

  3. This morning, while I was sound asleep, my broker CLOSED my short position MOO (which was, at that moment, at a positive position, and tanking down), REMOVING the hedge for the put options I was still short. I did not notice this until 3 hours later and closed the put options out with a big loss.

    Trades: Closed 200MOO @ 6.16
    Bought MOO Put Apr 04 8.00 @ 2.45 (!!!)

    This trade turned out a big loser and im not happy.

  7. Today I traded my IB account for the first time, and opened the following positions:

    SHORT MOO straddle 6 - december
    LONG MOO Call 7 - december
    LONG MOO Put 5 - december

    SHORT MOO straddle 6 - april04
    LONG 2xMOO call 7 - april04
    LONG 2xMOO put 5 - april04

    *note I fucked this one up testing the DTB option systems, which means I took very bad prices to get in on. starting out with a 80 euro paperloss.

    SHORT RD straddle 38 - december
    LONG RD Call 40 - december
    LONG RD put 40 - december

    SHORT RD straddle 38 - april04
    LONG 2xRD call 40 - april04
    LONG 2xRD put 36 - april04

    *note this one went well and was put on for a small credit :)

    This construction is the one that came of out the discussion 'the perfect option position' on the options forum, I put in on twice here to see how it works and how it reacts to everyday's markets.

    besides that, I made 13 estoxx50 points between 9-10 ET. (4rt)

  8. I lost a few stoxxpoints when my connection to tws broke in the middle of a trade (that will learn me to put in hard stops), and for the fuckup trade that followed (own stubbornness, wanted to 'get back at the market')

    That a boy Tiki! The Perfect option position! I'll be watching you how this turns out. Good luck man! Did you check the skew on those options. Looks like it was pretty decent if you put it on for a credit. Is RD Royal Dutch?
