I get a website but no results. In any case, the TI GUI gives me a headache. I've never been able to wrap my puny mind around all those gillion results: ticking up within 4 seconds, ticking down within 4 seconds, ticking up within 5 seconds, etc... I need to lie down.
I will say that TI does cause headaches... I think it's just a matter of getting the parameters tweaked properly though. That being said, I've got a decent set of parameters right now but I do have the problem of getting too many results... gotta work on that. If anyone knows of a scanner (other than IBs - not an IB client), let me know. So far today no big winners, but I've got open shorts on HMT, SPC & KNX. Longs on AVII, EYET, and WY. Stopped out on 3 other longs so far. I'll post the results at EOD. Good trading!
Well, not the greatest day today... once again a tight range on the indices. Ended up with -1.5% ROI on 9 trades today. Stopped out on Longs: VRTX, PCH, MWV Stopped out on Shorts: KNX Broke even on EYET long & small winner on HMT short. Only 2 decent trades, a 1R trade on AVII & 2R on SPC. I'll post a chart for SPC with my entry and exit. At the time, it looked as though the trend may have been stalling, so I decided to exit around 2pm. The trend continued and would have allowed me to turn it into a 5R trade... Just have to work on scaling out of the trades a bit more, so I can maximize my profits. Good Trading!
Great journal guys... I have been paper trading this method for a little while while following this journal... Trades for today (1) ASEI Tight bars formed...held 'til EOD risk (per share)=.30 return (per share)=2.06
Great trade! Nice R/R on that one... Just curious, I'm guessing you didn't see ASEI on your radar until mid-day... it would have been a killer trade had you entered on the break of the 2nd bar. How long have you paper-traded and how are your results so far? Pete
I follow the 3 bar wait rule... I have been paper trading for about 20 trading days and the results have been great...how long have you been trading it and how are your results since starting?
Might want to follow Maoxian's advice to keep track of new 52 wk highs. I'm trying out Qcharts right now and they make this very easy with their new high hotlist. The two 'dummy' spot are rather obvious.
Here's the stocks I'm watching from the open. I usually also watch anything that looks decent that's making new 52week highs or lows (ala MaoXian). Long: AMD, CPST, IMDC, FDRY, DKS, A Short: TEF, AVII, VOD, BCSI, SCH, GCI, TGT, AKS Hopefully everyone has a good day today!
Pete you just need to look at the filters that is how you limit the alert number http://www.trade-ideas.com/FAQ.html#Q1
