Profitseer, i'm using ensign and in that you can choose the kind of Ma that does the smoothing. On the 21,10,4 i use a SMOOTHED ma, which causes the stoch move less fast. that's why i mentioned 20/80 as the zones where you ignore the crossovers
?????Where did you get that idea? in fact, i'm just starting out, trading for a year now. I started this, because i'm thrilled about the possiblities and wanted to share that. You might recognize that people in your social circle don't really crasp what trading is about. but it seems a lot of people here don't either
Ditch - great thread. Sadly, many threads on this board seem to attract those with low self worth who submit to the urge to post destructive criticism to any thread in the vain hope of duping people into thinking they have an intelligent opinion worth reading. Fortunately, others have made submissions to this thread that are worth reading, which in turn will cause your ideas to continue to evolve, and to give food for thought to realtive newcomers to e's such as myself. So ignore the naysayers like greendog et al, and keep up the good work. Greendog and his ilk are like dumb animals - they bark merely to be noticed and patted on the head.
It strikes me that there's no substantial criticism of the setup itself. What aggrevates the hell out of them is the number of pts i "claim" to make with it. I guess, the market has been that rough on them, that they have turned completely sour and can't stand the thought that others are actually making money.
Hehe, what do you expect when you put "easy" in the title of your thread? Perhaps here's the logic for some of the hostility and derision you seem to be attracting: if you're actually clever enough to devise a "system" that makes trading easy, you ought to be clever enough to keep it to yourself -- why show up here and tell the world (for free at least), unless all you want to do is stroke your own ego? Anyways, its kinda hard to give substantial criticism to stochastic and MA settings (upon which nearly all the "holy grails" posted here seem to be based -- c'mon guys, you really think tweaking those pre-fab indicators will give you the keys to the kingdom?) on an ultimately discretionary system. If what you're doing is worth "at least 10pts/day/contract", well by golly I'd think trading would be easy as well -- and what the hell are you doing here anyways?
And YOU should be "clever enough" to ignore threads and posters that you have no interest in. There's no logic in hosility. Hostility is not part of analysis and debate. Criticize the setup but not the motives of the author. You can't possibly know his motives so why do it?? And what do his motives really matter. The facts (setup) are before you. Are you not knowledgeable enough to evaluate them??
