Anybody know of trading blotter software 3rd party that extracts your trading data? I would like to extract my data so I can input my own calculations etc. A friend told me few software companies actually do this. Know of any?
Does who you trade through allow you to export your trades at the end of the day to an excel spreadsheet. If so you can create your own calculations and blotter through excel or even better Microsoft ACCESS. This can easily be done for end of day use, but if you want realtime, then your execution software should have a DDE link so you can do this in real time during the trading day. Microsfot Access is great for creating you own back office account summary and balances. It can give you reports and break things down however you want to see them.
