I was just offered an interview with UBS for a Sales Trading Assistant. Is it worth doing? Does anyone have experience with this type of job? Any info would be appreciated.
I interviewed with UBS Paine Weber in downtown San Francisco almost a year and a half ago, VERY little pay and basically the job, (as described to me) was a lead generator for one of the Sr. Brokers and we were selling muni bond issues..ughhhh.....with no chance of ever getting into a real trading position... I passed....maybe your situation is different though? rttrader -
Retail or Institutional.......Huge difference........If it's Institutional and you make the right contacts and impress the right people it could be worthwhile. Retail Sales Assistant ........No Thanks. He was "offered an interview".....not a job.
I will be based in New York City. I don't know if it's retail or Institutional. If it is retail, I will probably pass.
