    I'm an old subcriber to TS6 and so I got the old rates on TS6. Not the new ridiculous $795/month.

    So, if any of you want to split or share the cost with me and use my username for TS6 at a substantial discount of only $200/month then please let me know.

    Since, I don't use TS6 all the time and I'm considering cancelling it. But I know a lot of people want to use it but the new pricing is prohibitively expensive, this would be a great deal for them.

    Please let me know ASAP before I consider cancelling Ts6 and all you new users would have to pay the higher price.

  2. Would somebody verify this bug on their system? I've done it on two of mine. Basically, SetProfitTarget does not work, in the example below, I set a price target of $0.10, but it does not trigger the price goes up quite a bit more, then comes down a little to a profit of $2.59/contract.

    TIA.

    ------repro-----
    Start with an empty workspace
    Hit the New Chart button (left hand side)
    Enter QQQ (and prompt for format)
    Select a date of 12/06/01, 1 minute, 2 days back
    Select OK
    Select File, New
    Select the Easy Language tab
    Select Strategy
    Select OK
    Enter a name of aaabug and hit OK
    Erase all the text and enter:
    ---
    if time=1031 then
    begin
    buy this bar on close;
    setstopcontract;
    setprofittarget(0.10);

    end;
    ---
    Hit F3 to verify
    Select the chart
    Right click and select insert strategy
    Select aaabug
    Hit close
    Select View, Strategy Performance
    Select the trades tab
    Note that the first trade shows it hit the profit target of $259. Since we accepted the default settings of zero commision and slippage, and 100 shares that's a violation of the SetTargetProfit of $.10/share. Instead the trigger seems to be about $2.59/share.

    Could anyone explain why someone would spend 200$ a month for using a software that he/she can buy for 500$ and gets features that no other software has?

    I'm wondering that myself!!! That's why I'm considering cancelling TS6!!

    Supposedly, TS6 does all the data management stuff for you so you don't have to. And supposedly, you can do real systems trading off of it. For those who rely on systems to trade.

    I am not sure I understand the question. With the old school you had to purchase a real time software package and then you had to get a data feed. Then when your computer went down or the data feed went down or you got to work late or any of the myraid reasons you did not collect the data, you were screwed for the day and you had to spend time after the close updating the data. Then every year or so you would have to pay for software updates.

    With tradestation pro you got the data the software and the updates for about the cost of the data from esignal. It was such a good deal I locked it in as a backup.

    hey like this forum, im using rtick and its ok but im thinking of switching to trad6. i want to start trading the naz emini but i heard trad goes through someone else. is there anyway i can trade the emini using hot keys with trad or even rtick. i have the basic rtick software and if i dont go to trad then i will upgrade to rtick pro but i heard their charts are terrible. im using to qcharts but they are just too unreliable to use anymore. so basically im asking whats better rtick pro or trad considering charts and hotkeys are important thanks

  7. Only stock trading is integrated into TS6.

    The other stuff like ES, NQ, ZB goes thru www.lind-waldock.com
    They have a browser based order entry called "Lind-Connect".

    Ask customer service, when they will integrate order entry
    for futures contracts into TS6. Maybe you will get a reply.

    A question for those of you that use or have used Tradestation 2000i. Here in Europe we can only get TS2000i for the european markets. I would like to know if there are some technical major improvements except for the new data-integration. I'm more interested to know if there are major changes in the backtesting part of the software.

    thx,

  9. I currently use cybertrader pro and has been good reliability and speed, but there are enough things missing that I'm looking at tradestation pro (with the integrated trading).

    I'm curious if anyone has had experience with the trading platform especially compared to one of their other sources (i.e., cybertrader, datek, ib, etc.)?

    Also, I use point and figure charts extensively for most of my research and I hear that tradestation supports pnf. Has anyone used pnf in ts, is it any good?

    How do I link Tradestation to Excel via DDE? What's the formula I should use? Usually it is
    =SERVER|'CSCO'!Last or something like that. What do I put in the SERVER space? Sorry about such a basic question, but the online help couldn't help so...

    Another thing: is there any other way to link TS2000i to other applications, other than DDE? Ok, so you have that perfect trading system, made 100 zillion bucks on paper, now what? How do you send those signals to the external world? (For automation, log, or whatever purpose). I heard some people here used a DLL. But, what DLL, and how do I link TS to that?

    I had a pretty nice results with designing a system on Investor RT, and linking it to IB. I would like to do the same trick with Tradestation. I will appreciate any help, links, ideas on this... Thanx
