Check your November 1st "Daily Statement".
Apparantly the Free Platform costs $99.95!
It is supposed to be free if you trade 50 RT the prior month.

All it takes is a call to clear that up.
Oh no Ebo on the phone again.

  4. Ebo-is your statement online? My latest statement is still September's. Who do you know at TS to get this kind of service. I have an equity account, so maybe you have a different type account and that is why you already have your statements as you need different accounts depending on what you trade.

I am tight with The Cruz Brothers!

All futures accounts get a Daily Statement e mailed at night marking your positions dude. Month End statements are typically sent the first of the month.

I bet if you opened a futures account, you might even get yours on the first as well.

I wonder how many customers are being charged the platform fee "inadvertently".

  7. Didn't they at one time use REFCO for futures accounts ;)

Reminds me of one of my favorite pair of quotes from TS:

    1. "TradeStation Group, Inc. (NasdaqNM: TRAD), through its operating subsidiary, TradeStation Securities, Inc., offers the TradeStation platform to institutional, professional and serious, active individual traders. TradeStation is an electronic trading platform that enables clients to design, test and monitor their own custom trading strategies and then automate them with direct-access order execution. The trading platform currently offers streaming real-time equities, options, and futures market data. Equities and options transactions are cleared through Bear, Stearns Securities Corp. (NYSE: BSC) and futures transactions are cleared through *****Refco, LLC.***** "

    2.
" TradeStation has won the Readers’ Choice Awards for best Stock Brokerage and best Futures Brokerage given by Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities magazine, one of the most respected periodicals for active traders. TradeStation was named best Stock Brokerage over competitors that included Ameritrade, Charles Schwab, E*Trade, Fidelity Brokerage, HarrisDirect, Quick & Reilly, Scottrade Financial Services and TD Waterhouse, and was named best Futures Brokerage over competitors that included Lind-Waldock, Man Futures, ***Refco*** and Rosenthal Collins Group."

Isn't it wierd to be better than the company you clear through?
I don't do much futures trading so maybe these seemingly contradictory claims make sense.

  9. Nothing, other than it reminded of the quotes that say they are better than the company they cleared through.
