In an effort to narrow down where the issue could be, three times this morning I deleted the TCACHE and restarted the platform and the pulled numbers from the TradeManager and the TradeManger Analysis. The numbers from both TM and TMA changed. As an example, whereas yesterday DSS showed total buys of 16,777 shares and the total sold 16,786 it now shows 16,819 for both Buys and Sells. So neither TM or TMA is accurate.
In client center under accounts, equities accounts there is trades and other transactions. It does not have totals but is exportable Excel and in its format with some effort a reconciliation could be done. I am going to wait for new trading activity to see if it generates accurate information. I am going to guess it runs a day behind, but am hoping it will work.
I had a discussion with an upper manager and he connected me with an individual whom has been excellent to work with. We have been working on the issue together and today various files and logs were pulled from my computer. The person responsible for working on the logs found what maybe the problem. It would explain why values keep changing on both the platform and website. Awesome news from my perspective.
I requested and received an update. The support person I have been communicating with does not have clarity on when the issue will be worked on. They have not received complaints from other clients so obviously the priority is lower. (won't be my first time reporting issues first) They have duplicated the problem on their end. Although not 100% sure, it is possible that the trade platform reporting problem and the issues on the TS website are related in that they are both likely to be feed the data from the same source, which has the problem.
I had many times calls with TS about their accounting, and it just seems weird that this is not resolved yet. Today I stumbled again on their accounting, seeing suddenly a loss, while this month I did not have any losing trade. This was a red flag for me to dive into this issue again. I have double accounts, but also double login, so I was checking to see if they use (like Ninjatrader does) local storage, but the numbers were the same. I keep a daily trading journal with my P&L, and yes, it is different with this so-called 'losing trade'. Now, I am keeping track until the end of this month, and if it still shows as a loss, they have then some explaining to do. But I do not believe there are malicious reasons behind this, TS is way too famous and big that stealing a few dollars (it is about $900) should not be worth the trouble.
I wonder if someone else has encountered the problem I face: namely, the times and sales window can not be filtered for, let's say, trades over 1k blocks. It keeps jumping back to default once I hit OK in the settings and shows all the orders. Weird, as I have not had this issue before. I've tried filtering for trades of 500 shares and above, and got the same results; it jumped back to showing all trades. I'm puzzled.
