I have no idea how much use you have with the software, other than your stated misunderstanding of how TradeStation works, but I'm a 25 year user.

As for moving the goalposts, companies, all at one time or another do it.

Get used to how the world works too.

  2. I really don't care about $10 and it doesn't bother me if they charge $10 but they have to improve this tradestation software ... Japnese Monex group has done nothing since they bought this great software nearly 2 decades ago and milking this sowfware as much they can and have no idea what to do with it. Still don't have cloud backup and portfolio trading, and doesn't have simple connectivity to excel for trading.

i never said i misunderstood how TS works. I said their demo account can give bad fill prices. Way off market. Such that you would be a millionaire in no time. Like it would keep filling me at the price i placed my initial option trade. Say I bought a put at $365. Market has moved to $400 and it's still filling me at $365 all day long so as soon as I enter the trade, i'm already up $35 times that by 10 contracts and as soon as I click buy I'm in profit by $350.

they said that it happens in their DEMO account but never in their real account. they already know about the issue. i'm not sure i would trust a company who can't get their prices right even if it is just on a demo account. because how do i know the same thing won't happen on the real account? i can't just trust what someone like you says because apparently you don't even know it happens on their demo account.

yeah i'm used to being able to zoom in and out on a chart, but this thing i could never figure out how. sucks. i guess they figure if you need to zoom out just switch the time frame to a longer one or to zoom in just switch it to a smaller one. how terrible is that?

i think i finally figured out how to zoom in but very non-intuitive and still havent' figured out how to scroll the chart vertically. their whole setup is confusing. that's why i don't like them. outdated crap.

but obviously, TS is not all bad.

You are correct. I don't know what happens in demo account. Imagine (pun intended) that.

My preference is to to keep it real. Always and with everything.

they only charge the inactivity fee once not per account. so say you have a futures account you don't use and its inactive but you trade alot in your equities account then you won't get an inactivity fee. as long as you have $5000 spread over the futures and equities account that could get you out of any inactivity fees too. just a clarification in case someone wondered.

but if you're not using an account it could go into the negative if it had a zero balance...
