  1. I used to have this problem with DSL but recently switched to cable (Road Runner) and I have not had it since.

    Doug:
    Thanks for the response.
What operating system are you using........memory, speed etc.....how many real time charts do you have open at once?
I am on RR and only have this issue when the volume is healthy.
TradeStation tech support seems much better than before.
I tweaked the machine a little, so we will put it to the test tommorow.

    Good Trading,

Tradestation isn't the only one with prob's today.......IB was down for 2-3 minute stretches twice today, confirmed on both DSL & Cable, Hawaii and Texas. There would be a bottleneck on the floor if you were there too, I'm sure, especially during those annoncements.

Think about it, it takes a few seconds to work through orders that are all placed 2-5 seconds apart...then keep comin' for several mins. No sweat, that's the market!

I have 2.6g AMD with 1g RAM running XP.
Normally I have about 70 charts open.

    Its all about the memory.
I am gonna pop another 512K in and see if that helps.

    Ebo,

I would like to know the hardware specifications of your computer and what operating system you are using. It would also be helpful to know how many workspaces you have open and how many windows you have per workspace.

    Thank you,

    Greg:
I have already spoken to Felipe in tech to resolve this issue.
    Everything was "A" ok today.
This only happens on very busy days.

I am running WIN XP PRO with 512RAM 2 GHZ on a DELL DIMENSION 8300.

I have 11 Charts running max on 3 workspaces.
My connection is VIA my Cable modem.

The cache was emptied and I got rid of unnescessary items on
    Start-up on MSConfig.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks in advance,
    ebo
