MultiCharts has many interesting features, but IT'S PAINFULLY PAINFULLY SLOW, especially with IB.

If you try the blazingly fast and amazing Amibroker and sometimes painfully slow MultiCharts, you can see that you wait sometimes MINUTES to see the initial screen with indicators in Multicharts to be updated. Looks like TS Support is not smart enough so far to multithreading to speed up the process. There are many issues with MultiCharts.

The main advantage of MultiCharts may be SOME compatibility with EasyLanguage of TradeStation. But a lot of legacy code just don't work at all -- there are some "minor" differences in syntax.

  2. Thanks for the update. Yes, threading is definitely an issue with complex apps like charting and order entry. The code compatibility issue is also a bad one....and really there is no excuse for that one. The parser/interpreter should mimic the one in TS2000i at the least.
