Still working fine over here. Running an optimization as I write this.

  2. Thanks for the suggestions!

It seems to work fine now after I UNINSTALL Tradestation Futures 3.0. It's something I just added in. But I don't think that's the reason either. I think if you try to load data from 2yrs ago. I was trying to look a the dow INTRADAY chart from 2001 and that's when it bogged down.

But supposedly, TS7 give you what 10yrs of INTRADAY historical data on equities. Man, if every time I try to access intraday day 2yrs back it uses 100% of my CPU and mem, then I guess I'll never be able to see intraday data from 10 yrs back. hehe.

that's my best guess now. things seem fine as long as I don't access really old historical data.

    Dude:
    It is your machine.
I am running TS 7.1 right now and I can run ANY timeframe without crashing.
I would say try contacting TradeStation...........HAHA.......They never pick up the phone!
I guess all Cruz cares about it his stock price not the servers or support! That soon that will end when they lose 50% of their active traders to E Signal.
You would think they might pay 25 people to answer the phones.
I personally know 15 Unemployed traders that are very well spoken and know tech. I could solve the TradeStation customer support problem. They jusy do not get it.
What is the float on tradeStation? Lets buy them, and fire all of the management!

  4. Hmm...

Are you sure it's my machine?? Because it runs fine normally. It only has a problem when I tried to look at Dow INTRADAY 5min from 2001!

Now, I'm so SCREWED! Because it remembers that one workspace that I had a chart up from 2001. And now I can't even use it because every time I open TS7.1 it has that workspace open whcih totally bogs down my machine! Damn it!

    This really sucks!

    Misc:

Try deleting the workspace file (.tsw) that had the chart up from 2001 and then startup up your TS7.1. TS7.1 will complain that it can’t open the said workspace, but at least your PC won’t get bogged down.

I have been frustrated as well with these guys, but unfortunately until we buy TradeStation we are stuck with their HORRENDOUS support.

I have had very good experience E mailing Janette Perez who also reads this board. E mail her what you have just posted and you will get a response by tommorow.

    JPerez@tradestation.com

I hope that is Ok Janette. We are all very frustrated.

    Good Luck!

  7. Thanks guys!

I posted my problems on TradestationWorld and emailed stephen whoever this morning. And I haven't gottena respond yet. Well, it's sunday so...

deleting the wsp was a clever idea. hehe. At least I can get it up and use it for current time and not historical data viewing until a fix comes along...

Hold the Shift Key when you open TS. This will disable the workspace from opening at the startup.

Well, I apparently spoke too soon.
After getting 5 different error messages that I am out of memory,
I have 512MB RAM............TradeStation freezes while the little Green light is still on. What is this? Why does this new and improved 7.1 Version do this. Is anybody else still having these Memory Issues with the latest build?
Is there a solution? Or DO I call Refco and E Signal.
    HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
