Tradestation ES data

  1. vanilla: In the future, if you need for some reason to re-install, go to Client Log-In, after you've logged in, look to the left, and click on Download Platform.

For now, I think you can go to:

    http://www.tradestation.com/tscom/tsupgrade.asp

If neither of those options works, then you'll have to call them up to get squared away.

Of course, if you already have 7.1, then you're up to date...

  4. agreed tgregg. what to do but pour myself a drink and soak up some sun. i guess i'll be on a leisurely bike ride until next weekend. are you trading today? do you even attempt to trade this data, does anybody?

my fear is that after this rollout, it's still no better, judging from how long they've held back on it.

maybe it's time to dust off my java skills and write my own damn charting app feeding from IB. if EL is flexible, java will be even moreso with a little time investment, and the price of a canned solution like TS will more than compensate for my labor.

next monday will answer many questions

Actually I'm testing TWS vs TS now. Wrote an program to make 3 minute bars from TWS data and I'll compare it to TS at the end of the day. I'm also testing a purely mechanical system as well. Good day for testing since I can't trade. I feel good that Tradestation is charging us full price for these semi-delayed quotes :(.

  8. tried to call tech help but keep getting a busy signal.

I think I'll try to tweak the software a little -- I'm going to microspool it down to central. It still keeps ghosting at about 3000 though. Also added a fresh quart of monitor oil -- to no avail.
