This morning they just removed 2849 symbols from the list, that is like a third from the total. You cannot short some of the most liquid stocks around, like POT, AMZN. It might be related to the routing problem they had Friday.
To quote another trader "They are pathetic and dangerous in their incompetence. Get a broker with support staff that actually knows what they are doing." TS continues to operate in a vacumn and do little to satisfy their customers needs. If it was not for the charting capability they offer I would be long gone. Multicahrst is begging to fill that void for me. When they add desktops to multcharts I will be out of TS.
Apparently I was right about the symbols removal being related to the routing problem they had on Friday - they just added those symbols back into the easy-to-borrow list. Looking much better now. The way TradeStation communicates with the traders still sucks though.
