Trades that satisfy the ego

  1. Got it, but enthusiasm for something is what its all about. So many pricks on these boards out to show how much they know and discredit any one elses' knowledge or even fascinations.. especially these guys with a 5k trading account who think they know it all are the worst. Anyone worth their salt doesn't have so much to prove.

    Lot of insecurity out there.

  2. LOL, with any luck i will end up being one of these (ahem) persons with a 5k account:) The problem is specialty and experience. What sounds like a good idea, a good strategy to one person will be anathema to another.

And there SHOULD be a lot of insecurity out there, people risking their dime after years of study shouldnt be turning around and saying "oh, its easy, dont worry about".

    Thats the vendors job:D

  3. AO76

    AO76

Trades do not satisfy a persons ego -- year end results do !!

  4. nothing wrong with a small account - just a disordinate amount of cockiness also comes with it.

when you boil it down, trading is fundamentally competition - so its probably unrealistic to expect some cordiality ...

  5. Thats up to the individual, it seems.

And to AO76, well obviously good results would help-but your not going to have those good results without some BOO-YAH factor.
And if you did, well you still need some boo-yah, because you would be practically mummified with boredom if you got excellent returns without it.
    Make it fun-or else
    :)
