    HI Samuel
thanks for teh reply. So the translator, it will convert EL to TS basic, but will it do it the other way around, i.e. TS basic to EL?
    thanks

  2. What about DLL calls within easy language ? How does it handle them ?
Does Traderstudio support the call of DLL modules ?

I wanted to answer that question but then I began thinking about the documentation and I forgot.

No, it only translates from EL to TSudio Basic

No problem. Thanks for clarifying that. That's really not what i wanted to hear, but hey! I suppose i could cobble something together myself...with practice!

I don't suppose you or anyone else know whether the charts in the new version of TStudio now support logarythmic scaling do you? I've failed to get an answer from TStudio on this over the past couple of days.

Also do you or anyone use intraday data in TStudio? If so, which feeds are people using? IQFeed anyone?

  5. Now the semi log scale is the default setting for the charts. I have imported my intraday data but only for backtesting. Not for trading. It is not a real time platform. Not a big issue for me.

These are really not big problems. I love this software ! It is very professional - what is NOT professional is the documentation. Just a memo for the TradersStudio employees ! :D
The 2 languages are rather similar so you will soon be able to do everything on your own.

Really?! Excellent!! I'm so pleased. Yes that's all i'd want to do to. I don't want to real time trade from it.
It do look like a fantastic platform. How do you find the charts (i am a chartist that wants to develop my own trading systems, but will still want to chart too for the time being), do they support "pit style" pivot point levels on them (i.e. where you can see weekly/monthly calculated pivot levels on daily charts)?

I'm usless in EL too, so i doubt that! :D

  7. I feel I must apologize with our kind Murray - I do not want you begin to feel I am a pain in .... actually I love this software but, please, try to understand me, yesterday evening I was translating a function. Guess what ? In the help there is no mention of Julian dates ! Ok, I think I can solve this problem on my own, it is easy but this is only an example of what happens every day ! The more I look at that help the more I am disappointed ! I am putting a lot of time into learning to use the software at its best but these things happen every single day !
Please, do not entrust the same person for the new edition ! Either people have teaching skills or they do not ! And that man does not !
Am I annoying ? Repetitive ? Perhaps. But every day I have these problems !! Every day !!!!! Frankly speaking I am becoming tired of this "struggle" !

So, instead of adding new features to the software, I think it would be better to make sure your customers can use the current ones !

Nothing personal against you, Murray. You are a kind person and your software is wonderful.

    Hi Samuel_Weber_74,

Do you mind if I ask where you obtained your intra day data from. I currently only receive end of day data but would like to do some testing on intra day time frames. I will only be backtesting and I am aware that it does not operate on real time on intra day data which is fine for me.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

  9. Anybody ?

  10. It can be done. Tradersstudio is a COM application. So, non-COM code need to create a COM wrapper which can then be referenced as an add-in. Tradersstudio can provide you with a guide that serves as a kind of API for constructing such add-ins.

I say "kind of API" cos it's not complete...but it's better than nothing.

    Thx
