Hi Murray, sorry I did not read the whole thread, so maybe my questions has been answered in the past. 1) Can I use Tradersstudio to do a "multimarket" backtesting on stocks. 2) which data (data vensdors) does TradersStudio support. Thank you. Ralf
TradersStudio can not only do multimarket backtesting but also allow you to backtest multiple systems which may or may not trade multiple markets. You can even combine these systems with with money management. We support CSI data and any vendor who can export CSV , or other text format data. We also support the classic metastock format. You can also optimize the systems on the portfiolo and view the results on a single market or portfiolo level. Version 2.5 will also be able to optimize at the "Trade Plan" money management level in addition to the system level.
Could you please elaborate more on that? Would the user be able to share its trading capital between two or more systems, applying them on a portfolio of markets then getting the equity curve and the usual statistical reports? As a sidenote: why the underwater equity curve is not computing the equity drawdown in percent as everyone else does (I'm referring to these charts: http://www.tradersstudio.com/IAGoldClub/tabid/101/Default.aspx)?
A trade plan allow you to trade multiple system which can each be traded on a single market or a portfolio using the same account. You get a complete set of reports, just like you do for a session , plus some other measures which apply to money management. The underwater equity curve for commodities I shows dollars because dollars make more sense for commodity traders trading single lots. In version 2.5 all of these types of charts are available both in dollars and percent return. We calculate the percent return based on margin for commodities.

I wish there were some reviews on Traders Studio under software. I have and use Amibroker with Esig data and like that alot , but im and idiot and have trouble though do stumble thru AB and AFL . I have considered Traders Studio if it is actually easier to code with .
Murray, How can you not offer a demo? I don't want to fork over $500 to find out if I like it. Even a crippled version would be fine...
