  7. What kind of upfront fees they required?

    If they want a fee many thousands USD to join (call it tuition or enrollment fees), it is very likely a scam!

  9. If you're going to work with a company you should always do both a google and FINRA search on the company's owners to see who you're getting in bed with. You can easily go to their website, find their names and do so.
