  2. Fuck your book. Bad things happen to good people. Good things happen to bad people. There is no correlation. It is better to be good, but that depends on where you live, what time it is, the people around you, your upbringing, the brainwashing by your government, etc, etc. Getting hung up on all this good vs. evil shit is unproductive. I know that watching the dollar signs spin upwards on my ATS is good. Maybe that sucks for you. :p

  3. sorry but the story of job is a fable. it is a good thing it is a fable because in it god is an evil character. in the story of job god and the devil make a bet that if they throw enough bad things at job and destroy everything he poseses that he will crack. they destroy him and kill his family just to win a bet. does that sound like a loving god to you?

bad things happen to good and bad people because they just do. there is no reason.

"Job has been called the greatest work in world literature and this is not empty rhetoric. Practically nothing is known about when it was written or by whom. It is a fable and Job is not a historical character but that does nothing to diminish the power of one of the most difficult books of the Bible. The plot is simple - God sets out to test Job and see if he cracks. This poor man, who God describes as the best of his servants, has every misfortune heaped on him and worse than even that, has some dreadful friends who try to advise him."

Hello vhehn: Lots of info in your post about Job. I've debated that book myself for many years. I'd like to add that you forgot to also include what God said to Job and why he said what he did after Job had suffered. That was the important part.

  5. that could be true but do you think that an all powerful all knowing god would be able to come up with another way to test job than to murder his family?
another point would be that god is supposed to be all knowing. if this is so he would have already known what job would ultimately do. in that case he murdered jobs child for no reason.
these are the type of questions that leave you with only two choices. either the bible story is wrong or god is evil. i prefer to believe that the bible is wrong and that god if he exists would only do loving things.

LOL, you still don't get it do you, the answer is there but you are reading to deep into the words. Perhaps those 25000 kids dying is a fable also.

And the story itself explains what life is about. It is a series of tests, make the wrong choices during the tests and you will pay the ultimate price.

  10. I'll have a good laugh at your ignorance and continue on. Too bad you won't have a functioning brain to realize you are wrong when you are dead. The "virgin" mary was a whore.
