The Atkins Diet is NO Carbs the first few weeks, not really a healthy diet, IMHO, I am not fat but put on weight if I don't watch myself, so I might eat one slice of bread instead of two, and eat pasta/rice in much smaller portions. Moderation vs elimination, if I need to lose 5 LBS in a few days, I eliminate CARBS, temporarily. I only have one or two beers instead of the six pack, cahpeesh?
I love carbs. It's filling, provide lots of energy, and it's cheap, but I gotta cut down on those as well. I need to take this opportunity to get rid of my beer belly.
