    I'm new here also, not in VA but Silver Spring MD which is right across the river. Lived in Southwest VA for 5 years.

    Yeah their ropa vieja is quite good. It's a far cry from about 15 yrs ago when the whole downtown was a poster child for urban decline and blight. You might like El Gavilan on Flower ave too, it's Salvadoreano / Tex-Mex.

  7. I have always had a perference for Maryland over VA. I'm settled in at Fairfax for now, but am considering a move for fall of 2007.

    Recent VMI graduate....

    I don't anyone in VA my age that is truly an aspiring trader that actually works at it....and I haven't been able to find anyone that is an older veteran trader here willing to take on a young guy as a mentoree.....any vets in the area willing to do that??

    I have an offer from a prop shop that I may be taking pretty soon.....so any help would be appreciated before I make the move....thanks
