The spike that took you to 25K (pdt rule) is probably a deposit. Then in april another deposit to get you to 25k so you can daytrade again..
Good point. You're correct about the deposit in February. I deposited around $15,000. The increase in April was a huge up day for me, I don't recall which trade it was but it was a large loss which finally turned positive.
TDA: Most of the profits were from $ATOS which was up over 20% at some point. AMP: no trades today as my salary job took priority. I still need to get comfortable with the platform.
TDA: AMP: No trades. Bought a new laptop and getting used to platform. It might be a couple weeks before I am comfortable enough to trade since I don't have much room for error.
TDA: I realized some gains today and will be rotating profits into a Roth. I will probably have less high % days going forward. AMP: made a bonehead mistake last night while testing a trade out on my phone and woke up to a huge loss. Account is now around $250. I will play some micro lots with it before adding additional funds.
There are a handful of reasons, but mostly because I am spending too much screen time babysitting the equities trades. And there are thousands of stocks to look at. Yeah that means more opportunities but it takes time to find the ones that align with my strategy. Of course I have the go-to one's I always keep an eye on. At some point I want to be in the position where I can trade the morning futures session and be flat for the day and enjoy life. That's everyone's goal, right?
Took my portfolio from roughly $13,000 to about $32,000 today through schwaub, best performer was buying $5000 of AMC 2025 debt at 16 cents on the dollar now at 75 thinking about China XD Plastics company as a good investment this week was pretty flat and basically just trailed the market.
