Better late than never. Happy Father's Day to all the dad's out there. Getting things off your chest can help you relieve burden whether it be a loss or a huge win. So if you want to contribute and share your progress, this will be a good place to share it. There is a right way and a wrong way of doing this. I will be asking moderators to assist in order to make this a clean and straight forward thread. Post your P/L of the day. Screenshot is preferred but just posting your P/L for the day is acceptable. Losses suck, but they come with the territory. Most traders have gone through multiple accounts. It's ok to post those negative 40% days. The purpose here is to document and learn what is possible to profit (or lose) in a day and then move on. 1.) If you have to ask yourself if you should make a post, then just don't post it. 2.) There will be no talking about strategies or asking others about their strategy. Use DM or make a new thread for that. Go ahead and speak aloud about your trading day in your P/L post but don't ask for help. This is for you speaking aloud without questions or criticism. 3.) Sharing this info can be personal so please stay away from this thread if you do not want to participate. For past reference: Trader P/L 2007 | Elite Trader Good luck to all!
wow, this place hasn't had a pnl thread since 2007?? ok fine. i'll bite. Just going forward. will keep posting daily until the streak ends. maybe summer months is good for me and i'll pay the price later in the fall..o well
I'll be posting results of two accounts; stock trading account with TDA and futures account with AMP. As a baseline, here is my TDA account. Friday was my first day in a couple of years getting back into ES trading. I made 4 trades and all were losses because I was learning the platform. I should have used demo and clicked some buttons before putting money on the line. Oh well, hopefully I will learn from it.
That's fine. It will happen as it should over time. Even if it turns out that I'm the only poster, the thread will be here if anyone wants to share their trading day results.
Borderline violation of rule #1. I don't base my trading decisions on the % I am up or down on my account. I also don't run metrics on my P/L. My accounts would probably be in a better position if I did.
