Was up 250 on the first trade of the day and it went all downhill from there.

I found it to be slow and choppy. Most of my positions tended to go positive, negative, positive, negative, stopped out.

    November Review:

It was an interesting month in which I, again, learned very much. November seemed to be a month of big winners scattered amongst many losers. And once again, my pre-planned trades made way more than I actually did. This was due to having opinions or risk on from some other trades that kept me from taking all of the trades I had already mapped out.

Aside from my pre-planned trades, I am seeing my other setups much better. I am becoming better at judging what is a good and not a good trade. Yes, I do have certain criteria of what those setups are, but there are still some subjective areas where decisions have to be made based on the stock, its current action, and the market action.

For both areas, pre-planned trades and setups I find within the day, I am feeling much more comfortable with just getting in and leaving them alone. This has been a large stumbling block for me. My style of trading works much better if I get in with a stop and target and then just leave it alone. For the most part, there are no break even stops, messing with stops, and taking profits to make sure they don't go away. I commit to an idea and then let it play out. I'm beginning to like the hands off, do less approach. Emotionally, I had been struggling with wanting to put in break even stops to feel safe, trailing too closely, getting angry if a medium size winner came back to become a loser, and all those ideas of I should have done this or not this. So many times have I had an idea on a trade, entered, messed with the stop or trail to end up with a break even trade or small winner that eventually went all the way to my target. All it needed was some time and a little room. Now, I'm much better at committing to an idea and just letting it tell me if I was right or not. With the way I trade, I know most of them won't work, but the ones that do will be much larger than the ones that don't.

    November Stats:
    P/L: +169.10 Net
    Win %: 31.08
    Avg W/ Avg L: 2.66

I was able to turn a small profit, so that is great. My win percentage was still a bit low as I know there were many iffy trades that I took. This month I will be decreasing the number of setups I look for and shave it down to a just a few I feel more comfortable with. Fortunately, my average winner was 2.66 times the size of my average loser. I would be very happy if I could get my win percentage around 40% and my win/loss ratio over 3.00.

It was another sloppy day for me. My positions would move back and forth, changing directions. My P/L was boucning around from positive to negative, but I was just sticking with my trades and letting them play out how they would.

I had a good day despite the nutty market action. Gap down, run up, big drop down, run up, close break even. It was a tough day to just sit on my trades and not mess with them, but it worked out well. I won't be trading tomorrow. I'll probably be back on Friday.

That was a frustrating day. Two of my trades came within a few cents of my targets and then reversed.
