It's a new best day for me!! I actually biffed up a couple of things and could have had quite a bit more, but I'm happy to book a good profit.

    October Review:

October was one of the worst months of the year for me. Not only did I lose money, but I felt frustrated and aggitated the whole month. The struggles I had in September bled over and were even worse in October.

My main issues in October were confusion and a lack of consistent trading practices. I have been researching and testing my pre-planned trades method. I was trading scared and therefore did not stick to my trading methodology. I would end up taking some of the trades and not others. I would enter and exit in manners not consistent with my plan. I also wanted to get back to trading some other strategies that I used to do earlier in the year, but had drifted away from. I was also looking at new types of trade setups. I ended up overwhelming myself and becoming confused during the trading day and when executing trades. Of course, this caused frustrations which does not go well with trading.

Just like the end of last month, I can look back as see how my pre-planned trading strategy would have performed if all rules had been followed. And once again, it turned a nice profit, but instead I ended up losing money because I did not execute it correctly.

I have learned a lot over the last two months. With more data, I have gained more confidence in my trading style and strategy. Doing so will help me see my trading more as probabilities and risk rewards ratios rather than actions half tied to emotions.

Looking forward to November, I will do my best to trade my strategy according to the rules. I will think in a statistical sense and let the results play out how they will in the long run. I will also filter down the amount of trade setups I watch in order to better streamline my trading and improve my ability to execute good, clean trades according to my rules.

    October Stats:
    P/L: -$456.59 net
    Win%: 32.65
    AvgW/AvgL: 1.28

As crappy as October was for my trading, I still was always able to stick to my limits. Never once did I exceed my max loss per day or let a losing trade get much past my stop. Although I did not get many big winners, I was still able to have my average winner larger than my average loser. Of course, I would really like my average winner to be three times or more the size of my average loser. Unfortunately, there were too many poorly executed trades. I am still staying positive and am happy to have learned much from my mistakes this past month.

  9. +31.86 Gross but probably in the negative after commissions. I was short OXBT at $3.99, good thing I got out of that position quickly, considering it's at $5.26 now, heh.

It was another good day. Again, I made some minor errors in trade management that cost me some money, but it's still a nice profit.

From now on, I will just post my estimated NET profit or loss. It is an estimate that will differ based on ECN fees, but I trade such a small amount of shares that it will be very close to the real number. Normally, when I see my actual P/L on the report the next morning it is a couple bucks higher than the estimate.
