It's not much, but it feels good to not be red after six losing days in a row. I'm not feeling too down. I know this tough patch will pass and that I have a good run coming.

hmmm... hope... the calm before the storm? what metrics or stats do you have that your way is working? should you not be collecting metrics and statistics and analyzing your trades to determine what you might need to do different? I was tempted the other day to enter all your trades on a sheet, but you can get the same information from pro preports... so go there, run the reports and do some analysis... just my suggestion and 2 cents...

I probably lost a few dollars after commissions, but pretty much a break even day. I had a few small losers from chop and then one winner that covered them all.

ofthomas, despite your presumptions, I do keep fairly extensive statistics on my trading. I keep track of things such as win percentage, average win/loss ratio, averages of number of trades, shares, size of winners, size of losers, commissions, day win percentage, number of days traded, and several other items. I also code my types of entries and trades and know my win percentage for each type of trade. In addition, I also have data on my best and worst times of day for trading and best and worst days for trading.

Along with crunching the numbers in excel, I review each of my trades and other interesting setups each day. This not only includes going over the trade in my software, but printing out the charts and marking each chart up with notes and ideas. These printouts are kept in a binder for review and study.

So, you must find it odd that I am looking forward to some good days. No, it is not just blind hope. The reasons are as follows:

    1. I do have the statistics and data on my trading, along with anecdotal evidence, that I have gone through rough patches in the past. I have had bad losing streaks. But they don't just go and go forever. There are better trading days for me coming.

    2. I have been analyzing my trading. As I stated at the beginning of this month, I am making some changes. Obviously, those changes have not yet shown a positive outcome, but I am constantly studying and am in the process of making tweaks.

    3. Most importantly, we all know how much attitude and emotions can affect trading. I'm staying positive. I'm not going to let a rough streak destroy my psyche and attitude. I know that as long as I stick to my rules and stay within limits that I will be in the game long enough to become consistently profitable.

    Thank you for the advice.

It was a pretty boring day for me, but was able to get a little bit, so I'm happy.

Stock broke but held steady, Stock hit $1.29, the former Greedy me would have held out for that gain, I don't like getting stuck with a Pump, too dangerous!
