-7k net. here is some red to add color to this board. not too thrilled i lost about 20% of my already crappy month on one sh$t trading day. there was no flow until the afternoon, unfortunately damage was done. random levels holding early and mid morning i got frustrated and made some big mistakes. days like this drive me up a wall.
Tuesday: I had a trade wich neted me $2500 but by the end of the day it reversed on me and ended up at BE. Today slightly negative: -1k was trying to enter the same position, but it didn't worked out as planned and I had to kill it.
I gave a little back at the end, but I'm happy. I'm calling it a day. The market might get stupid for the next few hours before the Fed. +21
I felt like trying to get my P/L to go up today was like pushing a boulder up a hill. It was a day of frustration, but I'm actually a little glad I only lost six bux on a day like this. I normally get chewed up on these days. -6 Well, my first full month of day trading in a long time is complete. Last year, due to work and having a baby, I would only trade sporadically. A few days here, a few days there. Some months only a day or two and some months a couple of weeks. This year, I am much more committed to trading and adjustments that were made last month and this month have shown great improvement. I really wanted to pull out a positive month. It all came down today as I was just about break even for the month to start the day. I'm actually just about break even for the month - it's just not a positive number. Being a break even trader is a fantastic improvement for me. Now, if I can just get my sucky win percentage up, I can start making some profits. Jan 2013 P/L: -$9.61 Win%: 37.50 W/L Ratio: 1.63
-1100 2nd week of losses upon my return from last week. Believe I've come to my senses. I'm back. Game on.
~+14,500 net. This could have been an insane day. I misjudged some trades that I should have been all over and gave a lot back of a pre-market trade on open. STZ, BUD I didnt know much about this merger deal, but should have followed my instinct to short it to sub 30 off the first circuit breaker. i only scalped around it and BUD for a couple bucks. Close there were some small chops to take, but I was a bit weary from some of shenigans earlier. Closed the month right around 40k, maybe a little more. Certainly not bad, but not that good either. I didnt see a whole of opportunity other than the beginning and end of January. Earnings have been trading super thin and too hard to move in and out of w/ any size. Hopefully it picks up. I'll post daily clearing when I get it, if anyone is interested in seeing how the month progressed.
