That's why they were the good ole days. I know a few guys who pulled in 200k-400k in the flash crash back in August, and a few who cleaned up following the election, but those opportunities seem few and far between these days. At least for the guys in my circle.
Thank you g, The first thing I want is to earn a good living...but for my posts here is to try to show it is possible to make money trading, despite the guys , writers etc telling u it cannot be done. I have done so for 20 years, slow and steady. Its not easy as I may have mentioned it takes every bit of a good 10 to 12 hours a day trading, modeling, etc..therefore its not for everyone...especially those who have another job. When I did really work , I worked through the night honing trading skills. God bless those who catch it faster and sooner.
Since its year end, it would be nice to hear more of these inspirational words from other successful traders. Its good to know your struggles to get to where you are today. Any others out there that can look back and reflect on their hard road??
I think elite trader should create it's own account tracking thing like FF does with its explorer? good idea or no?
Your results are quite impressive as per my standards and being in this business for more than 20 years it's even more impresive. I'm just graduating my 4th year so I have plenty of time to catch you) I always like story like yours, also it's a good way to see where you are standing in comparison with others but for whatever reason I always loved to see people who achieve big success in this business. Like you I spend roughly 10-12 hours/day with my eyes glued to the screen, I had even some periods when I was working like a "maniac" 24/24 with just a 2h nap time, not so good for your health and I don't recommend that but as a traders we enjoy the process far more than the proceeds.
I get the impression that you are not your typical trader who uses charts/price action for your entries? Am I right in guessing that you DON'T use TA? Anyway, always nice to see someone winning, so well done/
Sorry, TA is part of the model....how could it not be? Support , resistance, etc all works in my thinking.
---------------- I'm guessing you weren't long CBE ---------------- I was, just at the close...and I was short ETN.
