weekly is better for me as my trades are swings. i loaded up far more than i sold but here is weeks realized: btw, mostly short vol
-472 interesting today ... actually wasnt a bad day until a mistake happened where i switched from simulator to real account, and didnt change the contract size. so small loss became quite large on one trade. should have immediately cut. dumb.
I acted recklessly this week and my account suffered immensely: -$43,231 I will be posting here weekly until I either get my act together or walk away from trading.
Do you mind if I ask what percentage of your account that was? But if you don't think it is any of anyone's business, then please say so.
If you don't mind, I'd rather not go into details at this time. Perhaps when I have regained some confidence. It will be a big enough step for me to publicly post my p&l each week.
S/he is pulling your leg. Nobody who lost that amount of money would come onto a website chatting about the loss. A big loss is like a severe sickness, it simply strikes a trader down physically. I know a guy who didn't eat for a week after a heavy loss. And I heard a hedge fund guy who cried like a baby after a heavy loss.
I just lost about 50K I made earlier in the year and am back to flat for the year. No tears and no cries. Went out for dinner twice over the weekend. Need to reduce the position sizing a bit though next week to get back into the game hopefully njrookie
I think you might be surprised. Red_Ink's only post in a long time was a big loss a few weeks ago. Sometimes folks post losses for various reasons. Guilt, a show of honesty, or simply a warning to new traders as to how hard it can be. And many more, I'm sure.
Did one trade on the overnight in the 30yr, but posting it today instead of with tomorrow's trades because NT doesn't separate by trade date, only calendar date +246
