As you can see our small efforts to revive this thread aren't working. there are multiple visits to check out PNL but nobody shares so no point to post daily for me. Let's wait and see some of those interesting numbers then...
Well, I don't know how interesting this is... but maybe it's a bit educational. Attached is a modest retail account that trades anywhere from 4 to 8 emini contracts per trade. I had been working both ES and TF together, but daily results have been mixed since volatility skyrocketed. Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm slower to think => react than I used to be. Maybe tapes are faster. Maybe both. All I know is when volatility was dead it was easy for me to manage two or even three symbols (ES, TF, CL) but now it's over my head. Mon: ES +$2,000 / TF -$3,400 = net (-$1,400) Tue: ES +$1,800 / TF -$3,500 = net (-$1,700) Wed ES +$3,500 / idle TF Thu ES +$2,300 / idle TF Fri ES +$2,000 / idle TF --------------------- ES +$11,600 and TF -$6,900 My challenge with TF was: partial fills on some winning trades, always full fills on the losers. Slippage on many positions out. No fills on numerous would-be profitable outcomes that blew away from entry zones. TF and CL are fine for trading 1 - 2 lots turned, but trying to work 4 to 8 contracts (or any measurable size) with consistent executions just ain't happening for me. Nor is it even important... ES alone is more than sufficient. It's been 14 consecutive sessions without a losing day of ES trading for me. I may be a slow learner, but I'm going to stick with ES for the most part
