Just got changed to part time last Fri... back into trading on Tues - just looking to scratch out $300 on a piker account,,, $305 today - Don't know how to get blotter to include commissions
Pieced into TOT on open in the low teens, pieced out 1/2 @46.52, other @ 46.80 $465 after commish in my piker account - going to the beach
ok... out of respect for you and all the others who once made this THE cornerstone thread of ET Done for the week overall except for one modest account. Cumulative results for the week below... two points of educational interest: #1: Practically all profits came from the long side in a downtrend week. I am certainly not a mean-reversion trader, I follow market direction. But the downward moves all week came inside overnight gaps or econ news implosions. Untradable for me. By random chance the upside swings happened intraday, and unfolded in structured fashion. I did have more than $10k of unrealized gains today alone sitting on the dome, reverse so fast and so hard that trailing up stops or exiting crisply to harvest was flat impossible. Break-neck speed tapes. #2: Ninja counts par stops as loss trades. Note the ratio of "winning" trades to "losing" trades on the total contracts turned. What does that say for the touts who insist 90% win ratios and upside-down risk/reward ratios are the key to success?
Two decent days, two scratch days and one solid day makes for a blended average week. Cut losses short, let winners run. Stop too soon when profitable enough
@ austinp Great analysis there! Is that a ninja trader screen? If you dont me asking, what is the Max time to recover row, and how come the commission is at zero? Is it just that it hasnt been setup yet? If you do mind, no worries, i was just curious
commissions vary, so I leave that blank rather than fill it in. whatever $ x number of contracts (200+) would be the cost "max time to recover" I assume to be a return to equity peak from any dip below. not a stat I even look at, to be honest
yesterday... sorry for poor quality, will fix for later posts today looking at a 2k loss so far, lets see how it will end up
i see, i do the same with my investment account, too many stats and info that i don't look at Good job!
