  1. Trade alone at home. Gets boring sometimes but the freedom is priceless. I'd "go postal" in an office environment.

I trade at home and have been for the last 10 years. It does give you freedom to do other things however the biggest drawback IMO is you never have any place to "Leave it" when the day sucks or just doesn't work out. When in an office you can always associate the loss with being "there".

Zr1Trader, I completely agree. I've worked in an office environment for a few years and hated every moment of it.
This week wasn't good. Although the daily drawdowns were a bit steep, it always ended in moderate territory (except for 1 day). Still green for the month, just barely.

    Mon: +$1,000
    Tue: (-$310)
    Wed: (-$300)
    Thu: idle
    Fri: +10

    Total: +$400 per contract

    Monday was a deliberate session.

Tuesday was Bernanke 3:45pm day, wedged chopper until price action broke into the close, well after I had shut down this operation for the day.

Wednesday was the worst algo-chop session anyone has seen in weeks. I figured it would be a great tape following the prior day's Fed-induced chop. I traded the early part aggressively, and paid the price for being wrong on day's potential. It happens.

Thursday was idle, morning's open and late close were tradable for those inside the proverbial forest to hear trees fall.

Friday was another algo-driven churnfest. Was initially long for -1pt and then short from TF 782+ and stopped out +1pt 781+ on the last spike following initial dip. Price bled straight down from there with no real deliberate spot to enter short again.

Chopped from 0pt TF to -3pt TF between 11:00am to session lows. Prepared to anticipate a trap-spring squeeze. Scenario played out, long a bunch of times in the algo-chop. Enough attempts stuck to wash out small losses for the day, and that was it.

Gross tally is +24pts TF for the small-account project in three complete calendar weeks. Volatility that creates directional swings intraday would be welcome. Markets will do what they will regardless, and we'll continue to work them accordingly.

    See you next week :)

  8. I don't know if I'm just paranoid or what but I am never posting in this thread anymore and I suggest no one else does either. My Email account which I am VERY protective of has been hacked and I can't access it. I had a ton of information that could be used to eff me hard, very hard. Identity theft , account information , documents, tons of confidential stuff. Lesson Learned. I have antivurus, antimalware, all of that , still didn't help. I didn't give my password to any phishing scams, NOTHING NOONE, not even my significant other. Hacked today 6-10-11

  9. in your opinion, what is the connection between this specific thread and your email being hacked? how does this thread differ from any other thread or aspect of the site in general?
