Last month was too good to be true, let's just say that - this one isn't. All of the loss is from an ES daytrade. 0820: -$396 ------------ Week: -$5 ;-)
+$507 Evil CL took me out of the first trade by 4 ticks and commenced to pretty much fall directly to my target about 30 ticks lower. Other than stepping away from my desk and missing a good one, and not taking several signaled trades, no other complaints
- $120 Treated a conditional signal bar as a pure signal bar and took an early hit as a result. Got right back in once the condition was fulfilled and was positioned very nicely, but just before the news release price moved back to my entry price and I bailed break even, figuring I'd try to grab a re-entry on news momentum. No opportunity whatsoever, price made an entire move down and then pivoted. Didn't take the long signal because the stop was too wide. Then played the chop zone and despite the trades showing me between $100 and $150 profit apiece I was patiently working for a better move and got stopped out on each one. Then when I'd step away from my desk, the better move transpired! Later day ES signaled pretty nicely, but on such low volume I played minimum size, got 2.25 pts in my favor and the setup failed, out b/e. I decided to just call it a day, then saw price bounce and reverse right on to within 2 pts of my target on the original trade. I think the full moon was after me today
